APOLYTIKION resurrectional of the Tone of the

Divine Liturgy
Hymnal, p. 86:
When the angelic
powers appeared at Your tomb, the soldiers guarding You became as still as
dead. But standing at Your sepulcher
was Mary seeking Your pure immaculate body.
And You did vanquish Hades and uncorrupted by its sting You came up to
Your Virgin mother bestowing the gift of life. To You who rose from the dead, our Lord we
give glory to You.
(DLH)
APOLYTIKION of the Ascension – Tone 4
You
ascended in glory, O Christ our God, gladdening Your Disciples with the
promise of the Holy Spirit, and making them confident by Your blessing that
verily, You are the Son of God, and Deliverer of the world.
APOLYTIKION
of the Holy Fathers (325) – Tone 8
Supremely
blessed are You, O Christ our God. You established on the earth our holy
Fathers as beacons, and through them You guided us all to the true Faith, O
most merciful One, glory to You.
APOLYTIKION
of our Church (Holy Trinity) – Tone 8
O Blessed are you, O Christ our God, who by
sending down the Holy Spirit upon them, made the fishermen wise and through

you, the universe was ever drawn, all glory to you, O God. (DLH, p. 115)
APOLYTIKION
of our Church (St. Nicholas) – Tone 4(DLH,

As a yardstick of faith and an icon of
gentleness; as a teacher of temperance, your actual deeds have declared you
as being among your flock. In this
manner you gained by humility, things most sublime, and through poverty
earned true wealth. Father and our
hierarch St. Nicholas intercede with Christ our God that our souls may be
saved.
KONTAKION of the
Ascension – Tone 6
When
You did fulfill Your dispensation for our sakes, uniting the terrestrial with
the celestial, You did ascend in glory, O Christ our God; going not away from
any place, but continuing inseparable, and to them that love You crying out,
“I am with you, and there is, therefore, none against you.”

The
Church teaches the existence at once of the
Father and of His Only-begotten Son, born of Him beyond time and flux and
passion, in a manner incomprehensible and perceived by the God of the
universe alone; just as we recognize the existence at once of fire and the
light which proceeds from it: for there is not first fire and thereafter
light, but they exist together. And just as light is ever the product of
fire, and ever is in it and at no time is separate from it, so in like manner
also the Son is begotten of the Father and is never in any way separate from
Him, but ever
|
is
in Him. But whereas the light which is produced from fire without separation,
and abides ever in it, has no proper subsistence of its own distinct from
that of fire (for it is a natural quality of fire), the Only-begotten Son of
God, begotten of the Father without separation and difference and ever
abiding in Him, has a proper hypostasis (=personhood) of his own distinct
from that of the Father. The terms, 'Word' and 'effulgence,' are used because
He is begotten of the Father without mingling of two, or passion, or time, or
flux, or separation. ST JOHN DAMASCENE (†749)
