1 Great is the Lord and exceedingly to be praised.  [Psalm 47:2]
2 Supremely glorious things have been related about you, O City of God.  [Psalm 86:3]
3 God is encountered within her palaces.  Thus have we heard, thus again we have seen.   [Psalm 47:4; 9]
Through the intercessions of the Theotokos, O Savior, save us.
Divine Liturgy Hymnal, p. 18:  ANTIPHON II – Same tone
Of the feast of the Entry of the Theotokos into the Temple
1 The Most High has sanctified His tabernacle.  Holiness and majesty are in His sacred dwelling.  [Psalm 45:5; 95:6]
2 This is the gate of the Lord, and all the righteous shall enter through her.  [Psalm 117:20]
3 Holy is your temple indeed, and most wonderful in righteousness.  [Psalm 64:5-6]
Save us, O Son of God, Who is risen from the dead; who sing to You.  Alleluia.
Glory… Both now… O, only begotten Son…
Divine Liturgy Hymnal, p. 24:  ANTIPHON III – Tone 4
Of the feast of the Entry of the Theotokos into the Temple
1 Even the rich among the people shall parade your countenance in procession.  [Psalm 44:13]
2 All the glory of the daughter of the King is in her insides: she is clothed in golden knits, adorned as she is.  The virgins shall be brought to the King, following her.  [Psalm 44:14-15]
APOLYTIKION of the Eisodia (=Entry) of the Theotokos into the Temple – Tone 4
On this day, our God’s benevolent pleasure is ushered in, and the Lord’s salvation for humanity is declared.  In the temple of God, the Virgin is boldly made manifest, and before all the Christ she is fore-witnessing.  To her let us all now cry with a mighty voice:  Hail you, the fulfillment of the Creator’s dispensation.

EISODIKON –Tone 2
Come, let us worship and fall down before Christ. Save us, O Son of God, Who are risen from the dead; who sing to You. Alleluia.

APOLYTIKION resurrectional of the tone of the day – Tone 8
From on high did You descend, O merciful Lord.  For us did You endure three days in the tomb, that we may be released from passions in this world, You who are our resurrection and our life.  Glory unto You, O Lord.   (DLH, p. 89)
APOLYTIKION of the Eisodia (=Entry) – Tone 4
On this day, our God’s benevolent pleasure is ushered in, and the Lord’s salvation for humanity is declared.  In the temple of God, the Virgin is boldly made manifest, and before all the Christ she is fore-witnessing.  To her let us all now cry with a mighty voice:  Hail you, the fulfillment of the Creator’s dispensation.
APOLYTIKION of Gt Martyr Catherine – Tone 5
Let us praise and extol the all-lauded Bride of Christ,* the Protectress of Sinai, divine Saint Catherine,* as the one who gives aid and her assistance to us;* for she brilliantly suppressed the impious orators,* with the sword of the Spirit.* And being crowned as a martyr,* she asks that all receive the great mercy.
APOLYTIKION of our Church (Holy Trinity) Tone 8
O Blessed are you, O Christ our God, who by sending down the Holy Spirit upon them, made the fishermen wise and through them illumined the world.  And unto you, the universe was ever drawn, all glory to you, O God. (DLH, p. 115)
APOLYTIKION of our Church (St. Nicholas) Tone 4(DLH, p. 110)
As a yardstick of faith and an icon of gentleness; as a teacher of temperance, your actual deeds have declared you as being among your flock.  In this manner you gained by humility, things most sublime, and through poverty earned true wealth.  Father and our hierarch St. Nicholas intercede with Christ our God that our souls may be saved.
KONTAKION of the Entry of the Theotokos – Tone 4
The most pure temple of our Lord and our Savior, the very precious chamber of His and virgin, the sacred treasure-chest of the glory of God: enters on this very day in the House of the Lord, ushering with her the grace in the all-holy Spirit.  She whom all God’s angels laud and praise, for she is truly, the heav’nly tabernacle.
Divine Liturgy Hymnal, p. 26:  TRISAGION.
DLH, p. 54: AT THE Especially, Tone 4
When they saw the Entry of the all-pure one * the Angels were astonished * at how the Virgin entered * into the Holy of Holies. Now let no uninitiated hand* approach the living Ark of God to touch it.* Rather let believers’ lips sing out
in exultation* the Angel’s salutation unceasingly* to the Theotokos and cry out:* You, O pure and virgin Maiden,*
are truly superior to all.                                                       (FSD)
DLH, p. 66: KOINONIKON: instead of “Praise the Lord…”
I shall partake of the cup of salvation, and I shall call upon the name of the Lord.  [Psalm 115:4]
DLH, p. 70:  After Communion, We have seen the true light…
DLH, p. 74: Blessed be the Name of the Lord…
DLH, p. 78:  THE DISMISSAL:
May He Who is risen from the dead, Christ...

  1. This is very nice! When I was a young girl, we went to church in Hartford, CT and the whole Liturgy was in Slavonic. A friend made a book for my sisters and I to follow along with, much like this...with the Slavonic on one side and English on the other.
